About the tour
This tour allows visitors to understand how Madrid was transformed into a modern capital from the 18th century onwards, especially during the reign of Charles III, the driving force behind major urban reforms. Through squares, avenues and monuments, we discover the passage from a medieval village to an enlightened city, reflecting the progress, art and urban planning that marked its identity until today.
What to see during the visit
The itinerary covers sites such as Plaza Mayor, Puerta del Sol, Congreso de los Diputados and Plaza de Neptuno, following the historic Paseo del Prado. It also explores the surroundings of the Prado Museum until reaching the Puerta de Alcalá and the Retiro Park.
